With his sparkling white smile and gleaming toupee, Bruce just loves to be the center of attention. He ultimately dreams of a life on TV!
The Bruce is one of the original Neopets. The human Bruce Neopet was based on a British Game Show Host and Entertainer, named Bruce Forsyth!
He has been redrawn many times. The first updated on June 6, 2000 changed the Bruce Forsyth pet from a photograph to a caricature (see below).
Then on November 16, 2000, coinciding with the introduction of Terror Mountain, Bruce became a fat penguin, retaining only a thin bowtie from his early days.
Two months later, on 29 January 2001, the Penguin Bruce was revamped to it's current cute appearance with large frilly bow-tie.
As of June 2007, they were the 12th most popular out of 50+ available species. Over 6.2 million have been created. December 5th is Bruce Day.
