Originating in the barren regions of the Lost Desert, Rukis are very hardy creatures that can travel great distances without getting tired.
The Ruki is the second insect-like Neopet, but it is more clearly an insect than the Buzz, as it resembles a cross between an ant and a praying mantis.
Rukis are protected from the environment by a layer of armored exoskeleton and possess great stamina that allows them to travel great distances on land. They can supposedly fly, but it is yet unknown.
The Ruki is the 48th Neopets species, released on July 29, 2004. In the Neopets TCG, Rukis are associated with the element of Light.
Rukis are the 40th most common Neopet with over 1.3 million created as of June 2007. July 29th is Ruki Day.
