Poogles were originally discovered in the Northern provinces of Neopia. They may be cute and cuddly, but don't be fooled, these critters have extremely sharp teeth.
The Poogle is a rather pudgy, four-legged species, which resembles a stub-tailed Scottish Fold. They originally came from the northern Terror Mountain region. Although considered cute in appearance, they have very sharp teeth and are ferocious.
They were introduced on July 14, 2000. In the Neopets TCG, Poogles are associated with the element of water.
Because they are limited edition, Poogles are rare in Neopia. A few are made available on the site periodically; players can also use certain items to change their already existing pets into Poogles.
Poogles are currently the only pets that can be MSP (a color). They are the 47th most common as of June 2007, with just over 435,000 created. September 19th is the Poogle Parade (Poogle Day).
