Kaus travel in herds moooving from place to place looking for the ultimate Neopian pastures to play in. They love to sing, although they only know a single note...MOOOOOOOOOOOO
The Kau resembles, obviously, a cow. Kaus generally move in herds and enjoy singing, although they have been noted to only sing "moo". They are shy, but have no problem using their horns if threatened.
The pet now known as the Kau was originally named Macy Gray and was designed to look like the singer carrying a ray gun.
It was one of the original pets on the site. Neopets states they changed it to the Kau for legal reasons on July 26, 2000.
They are considered to be good battledome pets, because they have cheap weapons and have 10% resistance to everything.
In the Neopets TCG, Kaus are associated with the element of Earth. As of June 2007, the Kau ranked 20th out of 50+ species on the site. Over 4.1 million have been created. June 19th is Kau Day.
